          T30RF

1. What can the T30RF thermostat be used for ?

-The room thermostat COMPUTHERM T30 RF was specially designed for the control of heating and cooling systems   developed. It is also suitable for controlling electrical and electronic devices that run through   Removal and reconnection of the power supply can be switched on and off.

2. Which battery can the thermostat be used with?

-The device is operated with 2 1.5 V alkaline batteries (type LR03; size AAA) (ex works). Use only high quality alkaline batteries in the device. Other batteries that are described as long-life or long-life (e.g. conventional carbon-zinc batteries), discharged batteries or the use of rechargeable batteries is not suitable for the operation of the device.

3.  Where should the thermostat and receiver be placed?

-It is advisable to place the thermostat transmitter in a room with regular or long-term use so that it follows the natural movement of the room, but is not exposed to drafts or extreme heat (e.g. solar radiation, refrigerator, chimney, etc.) . Do not use in damp, chemically aggressive or dusty environments. Its optimal location is 0.75-1.5 m above the ground. The device can be easily attached to the base and can then be placed on any horizontal surface (e.g. table, shelf, chest of drawers) or even mounted on the wall thanks to the screw holes on the back.

The COMPUTHERM T30RF thermostat receiver should be installed near the boiler in a place protected from moisture, dust, chemicals and heat. When choosing the location of the receiver, also take into account that the propagation of radio waves is caused by heavy metal objects (e.g. boiler, buffer storage, etc.) or that metal structures can be adversely affected. If possible, we recommend installing the receiver at a distance of at least 1-2 m and at a height of 1.5-2 m from the boiler and other large metal structures in order to ensure interference-free radio communication. We recommend that you check the reliability of the radio connection at the selected location before installing the receiver. Do not install the receiver under the boiler cover or in the immediate vicinity of hot pipes or pumps, as this can damage the components and endanger the radio link (radio frequency). It is also recommended to supply the receiver with mains power from a different socket than the boiler (if possible from a different phase) and never to lead it from the boiler to the receiver. In order to avoid an electric shock, connect the receiver to a boiler, a professional must employ !!

4th  Can I use several T30RFs in one house at the same time?

-Yes .  Each thermostat and the associated receiver have their own security code, which guarantees the safe and trouble-free operation of the devices. Each receiver only receives signals from a thermostat with the same security code. As a result, essentially any number of devices can be used in close proximity to one another without causing problems with device communication.

5.  Why doesn't the thermostat turn the heating on?

There could be several reasons for this. The most common problems are:

-Use of an unsuitable battery (e.g. dead or non-alkaline battery)
-Incorrect connection (which in the event of an accident can also damage the relay in the device or the electronics of the   controlled device)
-Insecure radio frequency connection (see below for details)
-Sender and recipient are out of tune and have to be retuned (steps to   You will find re-tuning in the operating instructions)

6th  What causes an insecure wireless connection?

There could be several reasons for this. The most common causes are:

-Use of an unsuitable battery (e.g. dead or non-alkaline battery)
- Too great a distance or too many obstacles (e.g. more reinforced concrete slabs, more thick walls, etc.)
- Incorrect placement of the thermostat transmitter or receiver between transmitter and receiver (details   see above)
-Using other high frequency devices with a higher frequency than usual (such as some baby monitors   or wireless headphones)
-other external interference (e.g. high-performance antenna on the roof or nearby)

7th  How do the devices continue to work after the power failure?

-After the power supply has been restored, the receiver output is initially switched off. However, since the transmitter repeats its current switching command every 10 minutes, the heating / cooling system control returns to the previously set mode no later than 10 minutes after the power failure.

8th.  What should I do if the thermostatic thermometer does not measure accurately?

-It is possible to calibrate the device's thermometer (to correct the measured room temperature). To access the calibration menu, the on / off button must be pressed for 3 seconds with the thermostat switched off. The thermostat calls up the calibration menu "Cal" and the set calibration temperature is displayed, which is 0.0 ° C by default. You can then use the + and - buttons to set the required calibration value in the range from -8 ° C to + 8 ° C in steps of 0.5 ° C. Then wait 10 seconds or press the power button three times to save the setting and exit. The thermostat is then switched off and the setting is activated by switching it on again.

9.  How can the devices be reset to the factory settings?

-To reset the thermostat to the factory settings, the on / off button must be pressed for 2 seconds with the thermostat switched off. The thermostat calls up the calibration menu "Cal" and the set calibration temperature is displayed, which is 0.0 ° C by default. Then press the power button three times. The thermostat then switches to the menu for resetting to the factory settings and the display shows "Rst". To reset to the factory settings, press the button for 3 seconds. The thermostat will then switch off and its settings will be reset to the factory settings.
